SEPTEMBER DANCE
4:07 AM toujoursAnja 2 Comments
What happens when supermodel meets rapper?
They dance?
Apparently yes, since they were shot by Mikael Jansson for Vogue US September issue.
As usually, Chanel looks stunning, but I must admit I never expected to see A$AP Rocky as a Latino lover. Big transformation for someone who has f-ing problems (jokes on the side, he really has a great sense of style).
So, what happens is that they're dancing their way into fall.
It's a very interesting editorial, right?
WHEN IN RHODES: Docks & White walls

It was one extremely hot and windy day in Rhodes, the last day of exploring Old Town.
The only acceptable outfit solution was to wear this loose caftan (don't forget to wear shorts underneath, you don't want to have a Marilyn moment every 3 seconds (it stops being cute after the third time, trust me)). These espadrilles saved me, they are perfect for the many-hours-on-the-hot-concrete walks.
And about the hair... Well, it's impossible to have a decent hairstyle. Even with the ponytail I envied the bold.
This is a small recap from that day.
Have a great weekend!
WHEN IN RHODES: Bits & Pieces

You know how we all like to make a little fun of Japanese tourists and their obsession to take picture of everything?
Well, I was that kind of tourist! I simply could not resist leaving Rhodes and not having every single thing documented in my camera.
Everywhere you turn there's something that will catch your eye: whether it's the sun going up/down (I've never seen sunrise and sunset resembling each other so much, they are almost the same!), amazingly blue water or narrow streets of Old Town.
I didn't expect Old Town to be that big! There are wide streets and squares crowded with people, restaurants and cafes; and there are little treasures such as narrow, empty streets where you can see the real Greek heritage, but also the influences of other cultures (some parts seriously reminded me of Venice).
One of the most magical things I saw in my whole life was seeing two seas meet. The impossibly turquoise Aegean and deep blue Mediterranean create, pardon my shallow language, the most perfect ombre shades I've ever seen.
The water is so clear and transparent, even in the harbour, which is a rare thing to see.
This is a part of what I managed to catch through my (not so pro) lenses. Hope you'll like the photos.
Enjoy!
WHEN IN RHODES

So, here it is: my first wannabe outfit post (as I've been planning to do one, these photos seemed like a decent start). They were taken in Rhodes, mostly in Mandraki Harbour.
The colors are surreal, it's a turquoise paradise.
Seeing two seas meeting and creating that beautiful blue-shaded rainbow... Breathtaking!
And about the outfit: when it comes to exploring town in the middle of August, you need to wear something that won't make you melt (yet something chic enough not to be embarrassed in 5, 10, 20 years when you look at the photos). I opted for basic colors and simple forms and did some maths here: red lips + red shorts, white top + white hat, blue sandals + blue sea. The result is yours to judge.
You know what to do, I'd be more than glad to hear your opinions.
Enjoy!
SAINT

This is an ode to one true iconic maison - Saint Laurent.
As you might know, yesterday would have been Yves Saint Laurent's 78th birthday.
For that occasion, and for the fact that I adore the work of Hedi Slimane, I gathered some of my favorite photographies, shot by Hedi himself.
You can see an evolution of Slimane's photographic talent here (not to mention the collections, which are absolutely fantastic). From 2012 to 2014, see how it went through Saint Laurent's objective.
P.S. I guess Hedi's a big fan of Karlie Kloss.
